EMS Quality & Integrity Partners come from a variety of backgrounds and systems, from Prehospital, Emergency Departments, Ground & Air Operations, and even EMS Law.
David Givot, Esq., graduated from the UCLA Center for Prehospital Care (formerly DFH) in June 1989 and spent most of the next decade working as a paramedic responding to 911 in Glendale, California, with the (then BLS only) fire department.
By the end of 1998, he was traveling around the country working with distressed EMS agencies teaching improved field provider performance through better communication and leadership practices, until he moved into the position of director of operations for the largest ambulance provider in the Maryland.
In 2008, he graduated Law School in Southern California and has since spent more than a decade building a Criminal & EMS Defense Law Practice.
In addition to defending California providers who have found themselves in trouble for [alleged] missteps on the job and off, as an EMS Lawyer, he has continued working toward his goal of improving EMS as a highly sought-after speaker offering consulting, education, and training for agencies, groups, conferences, and providers across America.
Lyn Riley, M Ed, BS, RN, MICN
Lyn Riley has been deeply involved in all aspects EMS since the 80’s.
From humble beginnings as a floor nurse, she quickly and tirelessly worked her way to MICN, Prehospital Care Coordinator, Clinical Educator for both Fire Departments & Law Enforcement Agencies, and Prehospital QI specialist.
Lyn is considered the original FD Nurse Educator in Los Angeles County.
Lyn has instructed thousands of EMT & Paramedic students, she has created, developed, and taught a wide variety of training programs and classes from EMT Basic level all the way up to MICN.
While providing comprehensive CE & QI Programs to Fire Departments & Law Enforcement Agencies, she simultaneously worked hands-on as an MICN & ER nurse in a world-class Emergency Department & Trauma Center.
More than 40 years later, Lyn remains committed to ensuring the highest standards of prehospital care and compassion and is a proud and integral part of the EMS QI Partners team.
Dr. Mannino, Jodi, has a long history of involvement in the field of EMS serving in the roles of Prehospital Care Coordinator, Continuing Education Program Director, Quality Improvement Manager, Designated Infection Control Officer as well as a nursing professor in a community college.
She has worked with several fire departments over the past 25 years in the areas of EMS education and quality improvement. Jodi has also assisted with deployment studies, policy development, and Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) quality improvement.
She has been a speaker at EMS conferences on the topic of quality improvement and assisted in the development and delivery of the California Fire Chiefs sponsored EMS Leadership Academy.
Jodi also attended the National Fire Academy’s EMS Quality Management course. In 2011 Jodi was honored to receive the Meritorious Service Medal from the California Emergency Medical Services Authority.
She holds a Bachelor’s in business administration, a Master of Science in Nursing, and a doctorate in Adult Education.
Jodi continues to have a passion for EMS and a true appreciation for those working in this essential field. Her priorities continue to be quality patient care and relevant continuing education to maintain provider competency.
