What We Do

On-Site QI

On-Site Education

On-Site Education

EMS QI Partners, LLC offers EMS agencies on-site Quality Improvement, ePCR audit, and remediation services built on the notion that encouragement, positive reinforcement, and support are the keys to creating a culture of excellence.

A qualified, experienced, and dedicated Nurse Educator will spend time on-site, with your people and administration, to accomplish the goals set by your agency.

This is not a virtual, one-size-fits-all approach. This is YOUR Nurse Educator who works with YOU and who knows YOUR people.

YOUR Nurse Educator will:

  1. Provide Continuing Education. The Nurse Educator will function in direct coordination with the appropriate agency designee to craft a continuing education (CE) schedule of topics for the full calendar year.  The CE programs are established quarterly with lesson plans, stated objectives, and supplemental training materials.
  2. Perform ePCR audits. With the findings from the ongoing QI process and ePCR audit, the Nurse Educator will quickly address areas of weakness or concern and the findings will be used to design or modify CE lectures.
  3. Ride along with providers.  As part of the QI process, the Nurse Educator will ride with providers to identify strengths as well as areas for improvement, and the data gathered will also be incorporated into ongoing CE lectures. While riding with paramedics on EMS calls, The Nurse Educator will do “on the spot” [in real time] education pertinent to that specific patient on that specific call.
  4. Other Duties as Assigned. The Nurse Educator is flexible and can, as necessary and requested, participate in a wide variety of additional roles, including remediation, oral interviews of candidates, infection control, etc.

ACLS & PALS Training

It's not always easy to see where the opportunities for improvement exist in an agency and with people to whom you are so close. Sometimes an outside, objective view is just what an agency needs to identify ways to go from troubled or even good to great.

Our experienced and dedicated team of emergency medical and EMS legal professionals will spend the time necessary riding along, talking with, and listening to your people and you to isolate areas for improvement.

Once the areas are identified, we will develop, present, and if necessary, oversee the implementation of the improvement plans; working directly with your people and you to begin the process of creating a culture of excellence, quality, and compassion that can live on for generations.

From employee communication to clinical skills to documentation, we stand ready to help bring your agency to the next level and beyond.

Our consulting services can be as basic as assessing and reporting and as complex as creation, implementation, and oversight of new systems and programs.

Paramedic School Prep Class

Paramedic School Prep Class

Paramedic School Prep Class

For EMTs, the transition to Paramedic, while exciting, can be quite challenging.

Our Pre-Paramedic school prep class is intended to relieve as much of the initial stress as possible, so students can start their training with a more confidence than anxiety.

This 8-day, 56-hour, in-person program begins with a comprehensive, multiple-choice, written assessment of each participant's knowledge of basic anatomy, physiology, and pathology. The results of the assessment are used to custom tailor the program to make sure each participant gets what he or she needs to be successful.

The curriculum also assesses and considers the practical and clinical experience of each participant to further ensure their program success.

Understanding that adult learners have different styles and needs, this program is more personalized and seeks to build on the knowledge and experience of each participant, rather than try to start anew.

Participants will develop a more comprehensive understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, body systems, and more, so that they will be ready to hit the ground running from day one of Paramedic School, wherever they go.

The program emphasizes normal body function, so that participants will be better able to identify and correlate abnormal signs and symptoms with various disease processes. Then, of course, participants will learn about the more specific pathophysiology of diseases and trauma.

Participants will spend two full days learning about EKG & rhythm identification as well as the pathophysiology behind various aberrancies.

Likewise, participants will take a relatively deep dive into the basics of pharmacology, including the dreaded medical math.

Participants will also learn about the law and how it does and does not affect EMS providers. An EMS lawyer will discuss key concepts such as negligence, liability, and abandonment, as well as fundamentals of documentation and how providers can use their knowledge of the law to better protect their patients and themselves.

With daily quizzes,  participants will be able to gauge, in real time, their progress and make necessary adjustments before they are confronted with the added stress of Paramedic School.

At the end, participants will complete a final quiz to solidify their knowledge and strengthen their foundation and confidence as they embark on the most exciting and challenging adventure that is Paramedic School.
